Hayes Media Group expands to include B2C and B2B customers

Andy Hayes, travel author and new media consultant to travel industry professionals, found that as his online business grew, it was attracting two sets of customers—travellers and the professionals who serve them. He needed to create separate websites for each group, so he could meet their very different needs most effectively.
As Hayes Media Group made plans for refocusing the consumer site and creating a new B2B site, the size of the project required an outside eye at several key points.
VisionPoints was happy to partner with Andy in providing audits, direction, name development for the new site, and charting the course forward (literally) with suggested sitemaps and a focused product line to take the pain out of the company’s growing pains. We helped Andy create an expandable site architecture at each website, identify and cater to the needs of vacationers and the professionals who serve them, and maintain focus through a very large project that’s still a work in progress. In our audits over the course of the sites’ restructuring, we continued to offer near-term, long-term, and when-you-get-around-to-it fixes to guide Andy and HMG’s design team.
